These Vitamins are absolutely essential for healthy hair, skin, and nails...

Having healthy hair, skin, and nails says a lot about a person’s health. But what if you’re experiencing hair loss, dry skin, or brittle nails? You might have a vitamin deficiency.  Low vitamin levels can affect any age group, but older people experience stronger symptoms than others.

As people age, it’s essential to supplement with skin and nail vitamins to combat aging and help produce gorgeous hair and glowing skin.

Look for the following essential vitamins in skin and nail supplements for optimal solutions to skin and hair conditions.

1| Biotin

Biotin is a B-complex vitamin and coenzyme. It is sometimes referred to as vitamin B7 or vitamin H.  The vitamin plays a vital role in the human body. It supports the health of skin, nerves, cells, and metabolism. Some studies show that biotin deficiency causes dermatitis and thin nails. Biotin vitamin creams containing 10,000 mcg of biotin or more encourage healthier hair and skin.

2 | Collagen

Collagen is a protein prevalent in the human body. It’s responsible for giving muscles, skin, and bones structure and firmness. Collagen consists of amino acids that form connective tissue.

3 | Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an essential nutrient responsible for healthy eyes, skin, and nails. Known for its antioxidant power, vitamin E fights free radicals that may cause poor hair growth. Adding a dose of E to your beauty routine provides a powerful hair and nail vitamin.

4 | Vitamin A

Vitamin A is found in many fruits and vegetables. The essential vitamin improves vision, treats eye conditions, and promotes healthy hair and skin. Some people take vitamin A as a soft liquid gel or chew adult gummies. Vitamin A is even known to increase sperm count and alleviate premenstrual conditions such as cramps, mood swings, and depression.

5 | Vitamin D

Vitamin D or the sun vitamin is an essential ingredient for a healthy immune system. Most people receive their daily intake of vitamin D through sunshine. But for those who don’t want harmful rays to produce fine lines prematurely, dietary supplements are crucial.

6 | Magnesium

Magnesium (especially topical magnesium) is an important nutrient found primarily in bones but is integral for healthy hair, skin, and nails. When you have a magnesium deficiency, your scalp may become dry and flaky around the hair follicle. It could even be the cause of hair loss. A growth supplement that works is a high-quality magnesium cream.

7 | Folic Acid

Folic Acid is a B vitamin that helps prevent birth defects and strengthens hair and nails.

The following foods have high concentrations of folic acid.

  • Fatty fish (salmon, sardines, tuna) with Omega-3s
  • Healthy oils (olive oil, fish oil, coconut oil, argan oil)
  • Leafy greens (Spinach and kale)
  • Flax seeds
  • Eggs
  • Avocadoes
  • Legumes

Whether you want to experience nature’s bounty of beautiful hair, skin or nails or want to alleviate common health conditions associated with balding, dermatitis or brittle nails, supplementing with vitamins and minerals is vital for men’s and women’s health.
